This Privacy Policy describes how MAB Logic (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the Immortal Snail application (“the app”).

Summary

Immortal Snail is a real-world GPS hunt: while a run is alive, the snail chases your phone’s location. Playing online requires an account. Location is used for gameplay only — we do not sell it, and we do not use advertising identifiers for ad targeting. The game has no ads.

Information we collect

• Account. Sign-in via Apple or Google (through our identity provider). We receive an account identifier and may receive a display name or email address depending on what you and the provider share.
• Location during an alive run. GPS pings while a hunt is active so the snail can chase you, learn places you visit for that run, and resolve death (including when location is off — “dark mode” — from your last known position).
• Run and game metadata. Run start/end, survival time, distance travelled, places learned, death reason, challenge/badge progress, and cosmetics you equip or own.
• Purchases (optional). If you buy cosmetic items, store receipt data is used only to verify and restore entitlements across your devices.
• Website enquiries. If you use the contact form on this site we receive the name, email address, message, and any optional organisation, topic, or phone number you submit, plus standard server logs.
• Merch checkout (Printify). The catalog at this site’s shop is ours; payment, tax, shipping address, and fulfilment for physical merch are handled by Printify when you click Buy. We do not receive your card details. Printify may share order status with us so we can answer support questions.

We do not need contacts, photos, microphone, or motion data beyond what the operating system provides for location.

How we use it

• Operate the hunt, dark mode, and habit/wait behaviour for your run
• Show shared leaderboards (display name and scores — not your coordinates)
• Unlock challenges/badges and restore cosmetic ownership
• Respond to support, press, or legal requests, including messages sent via the website contact form

Lawful bases under UK GDPR typically include contract (providing the game you signed up for) and consent at the OS level for location permission.

Location and dark mode

Location is the core of the product. Turning location off does not pause an alive hunt: the snail continues toward your last accepted ping. That design is both a game rule and a privacy control — we do not try to bypass the OS when location is denied. Background / “Always” location is optional; When-In-Use plus server-side last-known hunting is enough to play fairly.

Leaderboards and profile

Public boards show names, survival/travel/places stats, and cosmetic showcase information you equip. They do not publish your live coordinates or full ping history.

Information we do not collect or sell

• We do not sell personal data or location
• We do not use ads or advertising identifiers for ad targeting
• We do not build a marketing graph from your movements

Third parties

We use infrastructure and identity providers to run the app (for example cloud hosting, database, and Apple/Google sign-in). Google Play and the Apple App Store may process distribution and purchase data under their own policies. Processors act on our instructions to provide the service.

• Bluehost — hosts this website and may process hosting data and server logs.
• Printify — warehouse and checkout for physical merch sold from immortal-snail.com/shop. When you buy, Printify (and their payment and shipping partners) process the order under their own policies. Cosmetics and in-app looks remain separate from Printify merch.
• Amazon SES — delivers contact form submissions by email to enquiries@immortal-snail.com. Form posts are handled by MAB Logic’s form service. Reply-To is set to the address you provide so we can answer you.

Retention and deletion

High-resolution breadcrumbs for an alive run are kept while that run needs them. After a run ends we retain what leaderboards, personal bests, death reasons, and challenge progress require. You can delete your account in the app (Privacy, terms & location → Delete account) or request deletion via privacy@immortal-snail.com; we will erase pings, places, and runs associated with your account, subject to any limited records we must keep by law. Leaderboard rows for deleted accounts may be removed or shown as an anonymous / deleted player.

Children

The app is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Immortal Snail. The app is not directed at children and should not be used by anyone under that age.

International transfers

Our primary operations are in the United Kingdom / European Economic Area. Some providers may process data in other countries with appropriate safeguards.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
